Ask me anything!

March 7th, 2008 by Juan-Pablo

Hey guys,

I would like your feedback on this. I’ve realized that even if I try to do my best with this site, it may never become what you actually NEED.

So please, tell me…

What is your #1 question concerning internet marketing?

It doesn’t have to be a question… it could be a comment, a rant, frustration, need, want, stumbling block… whatever you feel that, if I answered it for you, would make things so much easier.

If you don’t have a specific question… you might want to think along the lines of “What do I need/want that I KNOW would help me succeed?”… for example, your answer might be “a button that if I pressed it, would make piles of cash fly from my computer screen”. Of course… such a thing does not exist, but you get the idea ;)

I look forward to your replies, and will do my best to answer all of them!

Thanks in advance,

Juan-Pablo

UPDATE: OK guys, first video is up. This one is about conversions and some tips about simplifying your sales processes so… you make more money :)

My main concerns and problems with internet marketing lies in finding the right advertising methods or mediums. I have a great website and a unique nich product that is needed and would be in high demand to anybody with a website and uses Cpanel or WHM.

But getting TRAFFIC..and I mean GOOD traffic seems impossible these days. I’ve tried everything from SEO to mailing lists ( which I can never get of the ground ) to outright BUYING web traffic. No dice.

The way I see it… you can be giving away FREE bricks of gold… but if nobody knows to come to YOU to get it, you wont be able to give away a single one.

I just started my web design business and am having trouble getting clients. For a startup website, my traffic is pretty good, but I have problems converting. Any suggestions?

    Thank you,

    Juan-Pablo,

First of all thank you for this opportunity to ask a question. You are the first marketer that I’ve seen that was willing to answer a question without trying to sell me something.

I actually have two questions if you don’t mind. My first is this: I would like to set up some type of page that I could use for give aways to my list. How do I do this? Can I use one of my existing sites and add a page to it? I’m fairly good at figuring things out, but this one has evaded me.

My second question would be how can I attract more people to my list and get them to buy something from one of my sites?

I actually have a few more questions but these are the two “burning” questions that I have. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

I want to empower folks who are afraid to travel solo. What kind of product could I sell/ a newsletter based on places I’ve been? or????

    Hey Juan-Pablo,

No question, but just wish the “gurus” stop with the next “hottest secret” courses. There aren’t any secrets. You just got to know the Internet marketing basics and then adopt a strategy if you need to and get to work.

    Juan-Pablo;

I’ll have to repeat the statement from Bob Marks above; First of all thank you for this opportunity to ask a question. You are the first marketer that I’ve seen that was willing to answer a question without trying to sell me something.

I’m in information overload and a very limited budget.

Where to start? How to start? What do I really need to start?

I too am suffering from “information overload”. Every day in my email I get several emails promising I will make a fortune sitting on the beach and all I have to do is buy this new “system” for the low low price of $??.??!
A lot of us don’t have $67, $97 and especially $497 or more for these “systems”.
What would be great would be a step by step “recipe” to make money that actually worked
at a price we could afford. There may be something like this out there but it got lost
    in the feeding frenzy.
    Good luck to all

Thanks for your questions! As I type this, it’s 2:03 AM on Friday night… and it was a really hard day. Sorry I couldn’t get to your questions today. I will get to it on the weekend. I’ll even work on Sunday… whatever it takes ;)

    Stay tuned!

    Hi Juan-Pablo,
I have just got a web site set up but how do you get the right kind of traffic to your site? I’m looking for specifically targeted traffic and I’m not sue if I should buy the leads or what. Any advice would be great.
    Thanks a lot buddy.

    Hello Juan-Pablo

I think the site looks good! No way ugly at all! And I am glad you haven’t got lots of gimmicks happening because they don’t gel with me — too many sites are full of flashy things with no real substance.

My question is: how do you cipher out what is good and what isn’t with marketing? We (ok, I) get flooded with information from all sorts of areas and you can’t do everything — and you can’t afford everything.

    Thanks
    Jeanne

I get a lot of hits, am listed on page 4 in google, have a PR of 3, but make minimum sales if any. How can I increase sales on my site?
I’m a work at home mom trying to make a living out of my sites. Thanks!

    That’s my main question:

How much had you been winning in last year with your Internet Marketing dedication?

    Waiting for your answer,
    best regards.

    Hi Juan,
I have been receiving your good newsletter for some time now.
Online for 5 years and making a full time living online.
Like yourself I offered free help to online marketers - the response has kept me very busy but the work is gratifying.
In the last couple of months I have been faced with a dilema.
Wanting to service all inquires that come into my inbox daily, I have found that siffting through all the spam is chewing up precious time I would rather spend on genuine inquires.

Therefore I came up with a system that would save time all round. Firstly I advertised to all my lists that I would be desstroying all my email data.

For the genuine people who wanted to keep the lines of communication open, they would have to sign up and verify their subscription to my e-mail newsletter from MyScribeWeb.com.

I then set up permissions for my inbox to only receive messages from my newsletter subscribers.

This has set up a fair two way comunication system and it works great.

The only drawback? I won’t be getting any information from you unless you subscribe to my newsletter.

As I would like to keep getting your messages please subscribe at the following URL:
